Obituary for Maria De Jesus Gasca Mission, Texas Maria De Jesus Gasca (Chuyita),88, entered eternal rest on Saturday, July 7, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. “Chuyita” as she was known by her family and friends was born on April 18, 1930 in Kenedy, Texas to Genaro and Epifania (Hernandez) Garcia. Chuyita was a long time resident of Mission, attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission for many years.

Chuyita loved playing bingo(Loteria), visiting local casinos. She loved tending her garden and plants. Chuyita loved going to La Pulga.

Chuyita will be dearly missed by her family and friends. Chuyita was preceded in death by her parents, three sons- Luis, Francisco, Cayetano and one sister Guadalupe De La Fuente. Left to cherish Chuyita’s memory is her husband- Pascual Gasca Sr., her children-Pascual Gasca Jr. of Gilroy,CA, Jose Luis Gasca of Misson,TX, Jose Manuel Gasca of Las Vegas,NV, Armando Gasca and Mary Carrizales both from Mission, TX; Two sisters Genoveva Salinas of McAllen and Margarita Hernandez of California; 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Tuesday,July 10, 2018 at Rivera Funeral Home,1813 N. Conway in Mission from 11:00 am to 9:00 pm with a prayer service at 7:00 PM. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Wednesday,July 11, 2018 at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church in Mission.
