Obituary for Maria Del Refugio Avila McAllen, Texas Maria Del Refugio Avila,78, entered eternal rest on Monday, November 26, 2018 surrounded by her loving family at Edinburg Regional Medical Hospital in Edinburg. Maria was born on 4th of July 1940 in Mexico to Telesforo and Antonia (Sanchez) Robles. Maria was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in McAllen for many years.

Maria was a long time resident of McAllen. Maria was preceded in death by her parents. Maria is survived by her loving husband Mr. Simon Avila; her son Juan Avila; a grandson Matthew Avila; her brother-Santiago Robles and a sister-Gloria Robles.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 29, 2018 at Rivera Funeral Home,1901 Pecan, in McAllen from 4:00 pm to 9:00 pm with the recital of the Holy Rosary to begin at 7:00 pm. Funeral mass will be celebrated on Friday, November 29, 2018 at 10:00 am at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church. Committal services and burial will follow at Valley Memorial Garden cemetery in Mission.
