Obituary for Maria Elena R. Saenz Maria Elena “Marie” Rodriguez Saenz, age 61, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, October 21, 2018 at the Metropolitan Methodist Hospital, located in San Antonio, Texas. She was born on June 5, 1957 in Del Rio. Preceding her in death were her twin daughters, Maria & Juanita Saenz; parents: Olegario & Esperanza Rodriguez; mother/father-in-law: Pablo and Elma Saenz.

Family members left to cherish her memory include her beloved husband of 43 years, Ventura S. Saenz of Del Rio; daughters: Christina Marie Saenz, and Venessa Jane Prieto (Sixto III), all of Del Rio; son, Ventura R. Saenz Jr. of Del Rio; sisters: Alicia Velasquez of Abeline, Tx, Leticia Ybarra (Jose) of Del Rio, and Rosalinda Garcia (Daniel) of Del Rio; brother, Olegario Rodriguez Jr. (Nelda) of La Porte, Tx; Maria is also survived by numerous uncles, aunts, nephews, nieces and other close relatives. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 5 to 9 p.m. in the Trinity Chapel of Devotion. A Holy Rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Friday at 12 noon at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish.

Burial will follow at the San Felipe Cemetery. Pallbearers will be: Joey Saenz, Jesse Martinez, J.R. Garcia, JoeAlbert Ybarra, Tony Velasquez, Abraham Garcia, Eddie Velasquez, and Sixto Prieto III.
