Obituary for Mrs. Maria “Mama Maria” Ines Magdaleno-Molina Belmarez age 66, of Lawtey Mrs. Maria “Mama Maria” Ines Magdaleno-Molina Belmarez age 66, of Lawtey passed away Tuesday, October 2, 2018 at Life Care Center of Orange Park. She was born June 17, 1952, in Valle Hermoso, Tamaulipas, Mexico to the late Ines` Magdaleno and Paula Linco`n (Garcia) Medina. Mrs. Belmarez has been a longtime resident of the Starke and Lawtey area and a Parishioner of St. Edward Catholic Church.
Not only was she known for farming strawberries with her husband, but was also known for her dedicated work at Whispering Pines Nursing Home and Kindred Hospital as a Certified Nurse’s Assistant until her retirement. Mrs. Belmarez enjoyed working, sewing, cooking but most of all spending time with her family. She is survived by her four children and their families Mario (Tracee) Molina and their two sons James and Jackson of Raiford; Virginia (Chris) Vincent and their three girls Cheyenne, Victoria and Gabrielle of Green Cove Springs; Sonia (Jason) Bennett and their two sons Bradley and Aden of Starke along with Ronnie (Kristine Schmidt) Belmarez and their two sons Dominic and Stefan of Burke, Virginia.
Also left behind is her loving partner of nearly 50 years Ronnie Belmarez and her five siblings Anita (Santos) Romero of Starke, Guadalupe (Anna) Magdaleno of Texas, Francisco (Amelia) Magdaleno of Mexico, Jesus (Sandra) Magdaleno of Texas and Reyna M. (Art) Arredondo of Ocala. Viewing for Mrs. Belmarez will be held Friday, October 5, 2018, from 5-7p.m. with readings beginning at 7p.m. The Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, October 6, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in St. Edward Catholic Church with Father Jan Ligeza and Father Andy Blaszkowski officiating. Interment will follow at a later date at the Crosby Lake Cemetery Mausoleum.
