Maria Vegas Vargas May 21, 1950 – March 04, 2019 Share this obituary View/Sign Guest Book| Send Private Condolences Maria Vega Vargas (aka Maria Melgoza) Maria Vega Vargas was born on May 21, 1950, in Purepero, Michoacan, Mexico, to her mother Navidad Garcia Contreras and father Diego Vega Soto. Maria was born to eternity on March 4, 2019, with her family at her side. Maria immigrated to California at the age of 22.

Maria was fully dedicated to her family, as she bravely raised three children as a single mother. Maria was married to Aurelio Vargas, and they sweetly took care of each other for 16 years. Maria was best known for having a free spirit and individuality– she always lived life to the fullest and on her own terms.

Maria was also known to love cooking, all things flowers, health and wellness, and for being an extreme giver. Mrs. Maria Vega Vargas’ beautiful life will be forever cherished by her husband Aurelio Vargas, son Armando Melgoza, daughter Angelica Villanueva, daughter Leticia Salinas, seven grandchildren, 11 siblings, and many beloved family and friends. Visitation will be held at 4 pm Thursday, March 14, 2019, at Starbuck-Lind Mortuary, and funeral services will be held at 1 pm Friday, March 15, 2019, at Queen of Angels Catholic Church.
