BODENSCHATZ – Marianne, Jenkintown; formerly of Sidman, passed away March 25, 2019, at Abington Hospital. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph R. and Dorothy A. (Sheridan) Handel; and beloved husband, James J. Bodenschatz who died July 11, 2007. Survived by daughter, Molly J., wife of W. Matthew Skilton, Philadelphia; and son, James “Jay,” married to Emily (Guigelaar), Grand Rapids, Michigan; cherished grandson, Emerson Bodenschatz; and brother, Joseph S. Handel, Johnstown.

Marianne was a retired elementary school teacher from the Forest Hills School District. She was a long-time member of St. Michael Catholic Church. She was an excellent cook and baker.

She enjoyed cruising, dogs and spending time with her friends and family. Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Maple Street, South Fork, where a vigil service will be held at 4 p.m. Friday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael.
