Marie A. Russell, 93, of Kansas City, KS passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2019 at Brighton Gardens of Prarie Village, KS. Marie was born July 4, 1925 the daughter of Homer and Altha Mae Winn in Kansas City, MO. She was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed quilting, knitting, and needle point stitching.

Her daughters would receive the best doll clothes any girl could imagine made by Marie. Marie enjoyed cooking for her family and others. She lived in Saudi Arabia for ten years as well as Denmark for one year until returning to her roots in Kansas City.

The most important part of her life was her family who she loved dearly. Marie is preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Delores Warlop. She leaves behind four children, Jeanne Marie Patterson of Kansas City, KS, Janet Elaine Nelson and husband Rick of Climax Springs, MO, Willard H Skole of Peculiar, MO, and Lisa Marie Albers of Parkville, MO; five grandchildren, Jonathan Swinney, Kenneth Swinney, Diana Paarman, Blake Skole and Colt Albers; seven great grandchildren, Janessa, Jacob, Lorryn, Lexie, Avery, Mariah, and Brittany; and a great great granddaughter, Olivia.
