William D. “Bill” Engelhardt. 86, of Shawnee, passed away Monday, May 20, 2019 at Sharon Lane Nursing Home in Shawnee, KS. He was born June 8, 1932, the son of Max and Lovell Engelhardt in Harwood, MO.

On November 27, 1972 he married the love of his life, Agnes, who preceded him in death. Bill worked for over thirty years until retirement working for TWA as a mechanic. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy where he worked in the Shipyards of California.

Bill enjoyed fishing and taking his grandkids to the lake. He also enjoyed watching the Chiefs and Golf on T.V. Bill is preceded in death by his parents and wife, Agnes. He is survived by sons William Engelhardt of Dallas, TX, James Engelhardt and wife Julie of Fairway, KS, and Robert Engelhardt of Kansas City, KS; daughters Linda Doyle and husband Derk of Dallas, TX.

Kathleen Henderson of Independence, MO, Marilyn Irwin of Eighty Eight, KY and Catherine Carpenter and husband Craig of Bella Vista, AR; brother Maxi Engelhardt and wife Linda; eleven grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren A visitation will be held from 12:30 – 1:30 with a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 1:30 P.M. Friday, May 24, 2019 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Our Lady of Unity Parish, 2646 South 34th St. Kansas City, KS 66106. Burial will follow at Mt. Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, KS.
