Marie Dorothy Frampton Wilson, 97, passed away at home Sunday, May 13, 2018 of natural causes incident to age. She was born April 12, 1921 in Provo, Utah, in the house she grew up in. She is the daughter of William Otto and Dorothy Emily Fisher Frampton.

She grew up in Provo, and graduated from Provo High School. Before she was married, she worked in a bakery, then as a stenographer. She met Ross Eugene Wilson at a dance when he returned from serving in World War II.

They were married May 5, 1948 in the Salt Lake Temple. They lived in Spanish Fork, then moved to Layton where she lived for 63 years. She belonged to the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in many positions including teaching in Primary and Mutual; Relief Society Secretary; Primary president; and was a visiting teacher for many years.

She belonged to the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and served as camp captain. She loved traveling with her husband in their pick-up truck and camper, gardening, and sharing the harvest. She loved her family and relied on them in her later years.

Survivors include her children: son, David Wilson of Roy; daughters, Diane (Wallace) Haun of Layton; Linda Marie Wilson of Layton; and Janice (Scott) Staats of Prineville, OR; 11 grandchildren whom she loved dearly, and 14 great-grandchildren she loved to hear sing along with the player piano. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and her brothers and sisters: Orval (Phyllis) Frampton, Desna (Lee) Curfew, Earl (Aileen) Frampton, Alta (Leith “Tom”) Thompson, Stanley Frampton, and Dorothy (Reed) Terry. Graveside services will be held Thursday, May 24, 2018 at 1 p.m. at the Spanish Fork Cemetery, 420 So.

400 E., Spanish Fork. Friends may visit family Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Lindquist’s Layton Mortuary, 1867 No. Fairfield Road.
