LOWVILLE–Marie E. Rice, 92, formerly of Mattis Rd, passed away Saturday July 28, 2018, at Lewis County Residential Healthcare Facility. There will be no calling hours or funeral service. A graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family at Riverside Cemetery Annex, Beaver Falls with Rev.

Bruce W. Chapman officiating. Contributions may be made to Lewis County Hospital Foundation, 7785 North State St. Lowville, NY 13367. Arrangements are with Iseneker Funeral Home Inc., Lowville.

She is survived by three sons, Richard and Nancy Rice of Lowville, Timothy Rice of Lowville, Dennis and Rae Rice of Lowville; a daughter-in-law, Margie Rice of Croghan;14 grandchildren, many great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. She is predeceased by her beloved husband, Otis; a son, Charles Rice who died on December 15, 1991; a brother, Fredrick Sauer; three sisters; Marjorie Devienes, Helen Rice, and Louella Wilcox. Marie was born November 3, 1925 in Lowville, a daughter of the late Carl and Betsy Planck Sauer.

She graduated from Beaver Falls High School and went to work at Beaverite Products, Beaver Falls. On August 19, 1946 she married Otis F. Rice in Beaver Falls and raised her family. Marie enjoyed flower gardening, bird watching, going to camp with her husband, and most of all spending time with her family.

She loved visitors, shopping, and babysitting her grandchildren. Condolences may be made online at www. isenekerfuneralhome.com.
