OBITUARY Marie Louise Romero Menard November 3, 1931 – September 27, 2018 NEW IBERIA – A Mass of Christian Burial will be conducted for Mrs. Horace Menard, the former Marie Louise Romero, age 86, at 10:00 am Saturday, September 29, 2018 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church with Fr. Bill Melancon officiating. Interment will follow at Memorial Park Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 4:00 pm until 9:00 pm on Friday with a Rosary at 6:30 pm by the Catholic Daughters Court Blessed Mother Theresa. The funeral home will reopen at 8:00 am on Saturday until service time. A native of Coteau and resident of Lydia, Mrs. Menard passed away at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 27, 2018 at Maison Teche Nursing Home.

Mrs. Menard was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual help Catholic Church. She enjoyed playing cards and pokeno and bowling. She will be missed dearly by her family and friends.

She is survived by her daughters, Dianne M. Migues and husband Billy and Glenda Menard all of Lydia; six grandchildren, William Migues and wife Allison; Cory Migues and wife Paula; Brandon Migues and wife Stacie; Mary Broussard; Ryan Burke and Brady Burke; six great grandchildren, Addison Migues; William Reese Migues; Hanna Landry; Ian Migues; Avery Burke and Peyten Burke; one brother, Cyrus Romero of New Iberia; sister in law, Victoria Romero of New Iberia and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Horace Menard; Parents, Adras and Elorze Touchet Romero; two sisters, Mary Mae Domingue Pugh and Annie Lee Romero Domingue and her brothers, Earless Romero; Harry “Chip” Romero; Olan Romero and infant Cleveland Romero and her nephew Chester Domingue. Pallbearers will be William Migues, Corey Migues, Brandon Migues, Mary Broussard, Brady Burke and Cyrus Romero.
