Marilyn Knittle, 85, of Moline, passed away Sunday, November 18, 2018, at UnityPoint – Trinity Rock Island. Funeral services will be held at Noon, Friday, November 23, 2018, at Hope United Church of Christ, Moline. Visitation will be one hour prior to services at the church.

Burial will be at the National Cemetery, Rock Island Arsenal. Memorials may be made to Hope United Church of Christ Marilyn was born on February 5, 1933, in Moline, the daughter of Roy and Helen (Cook) Hill. She married Raymond R. Knittle on November 23, 1951, in Moline.

He preceded her in death on August 6, 2015. Marilyn retired from the Lutheran Hospital in July of 1993, where she worked as a respiratory therapy technician. Marilyn was a member of Hope United Church of Christ, Moline, and the American Legion Auxiliary.

She was a member of Golf Mohr Ladies Golf Club for many years. She enjoyed playing cards, BINGO, traveling and spending time with her family. Survivors include her sons, Rick (Vicki) Knittle, Moline, and Joe (Donna) Knittle, Moline; 3 granddaughters, Amber (Ben Schoepfer) Knittle, Moline, Jamie (Nathan) Simpson, Louisville, KY, and Cheri (Rick) Lerch, Reynolds; 3 grandsons, Ron Jacobs, Rock Island, Don (Chris) Jacobs, Rock Island, and Alex Soricelli, East Moline; many great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, parents, grandson, Michael Jacobs, brother, Gene Hill, and her sister, Shirley White. Memories may be shared on the tribute wall.
