Mario Scorpio, 48, of Uxbridge passed away on Sunday, Sept. 2, 2018 at the Milford Regional Medical Center, Milford. Mr. Scorpio had worked as a stone mason throughout the Blackstone Valley several years ago.

Mario was born Nov. 13, 1969 in Vairano Patenora, Italy the son of Maria (Cannalonga) Scorpio of Uxbridge and the late Armando Scorpio and was a graduate of Uxbridge High School, Class of 1988. He enjoyed fishing and working on his cars.

He was also a veteran of… Read More » the Persian Gulf War and Operation Desert Storm, serving with honor in the United States Marine Corps and receiving 2 Bronze Battle Stars. In addition to his mother Maria, he is survived by one brother, Fabio and his wife Tracy Scorpio of So. Grafton, two sisters, Angela Pybas and her boyfriend Christian Smith of Linwood and Adriana and her husband Timothy Smith of Linwood, his niece, Makala and his nephew, Nicholas and many aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is also survived by his girlfriend, Lisa Duggan of Uxbridge. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, Sept. 6, 2018 from 5-8 PM in the BUMA FUNERAL HOME, 101 N. Main St. (Rt.

122), Uxbridge. Funeral services will be held on Friday, Sept. 7, 2018 at 11 AM in the funeral home.

Burial will follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Granite St., Uxbridge. Memorial donations may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, KS 66675-8517. www.
