Marion Childress, age 74 of Lewisburg died Monday, February 18, 2019 at his home. Mr. Childress was a native of Lincoln County, and he was the son of the late G.E. and Edith Odell Dunn Childress. He graduated high school in 1964 and then graduated from Nashville Auto Diesel College.

He was owner of Childress Concrete for 40 years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son Chad Childress. He is survived by his wife, Delores Turner Childress of Lewisburg, daughter, Claire Childress of Florence, AL, and son, Samuel Childress of Lewisburg.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 23, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. from the chapel of London Funeral Home. A private graveside service will be held at a later time. The family will be at the funeral home for visitation on Friday from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral hour.

In lieu of flowers, the Childress family requests donations be made to your choice of either the Parkinsons, Dementia or Cancer Associations. The charity of your choice will be appreciated also.
