Obituary for Marion Doris Truett MARION TRUETT Marion D. Truett, 87, of Newnan, husband of Pauline Robinson Truett died Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at Piedmont Newnan. Mr. Truett was born September 24, 1930, a son of the late Alonzo and Annie Kate Jacobs Truett. He was a US Army Veteran and was retired after twenty-eight years of service from Bonnell.

He was a member of Westside Baptist Church. Mr. Truett was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita Smith Griffies; three brothers; and one sister. Surviving in addition to his wife of fifty-two years are six children, Robin Brewer and husband Tom of Woodbury, Rhonda Calhoun of Newnan, Roxanne Novak and husband John of Newnan, Joey Truett and wife Sherri of Roanoke, AL, Danny Truett and Kathy of Newnan and Robin Truett of California; thirteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; three sisters, Shirley Pate of Columbus, Evelyn Dickerson of Plano, TX and Ruth Obery; two brothers, Junior Truett and Jerry Thompson, all of Cusseta, GA; Aunt Ruthie Mae Murphy of Luthersville; and a special friend, Angela Newton.

Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 11:00 AM from the McKoon Funeral Home Chapel, 38 Jackson Street, with Dr. Melvin Payne and Rev. Alton Midgett, Jr. officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in Forest Lawn Memorial Park.
