Marion L. Murphy (Marnie) age 72 passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 3, 2018 at South ridge Living Center. She was born in Biddeford, Maine on January 9, 1946, the daughter of Francis Peter Murphy and Marion (Scully) Murphy. She was educated and graduated from St. Mary’s School in Biddeford.

She grew up with her two older sisters, Carol Ann and Peggy in a very loving home. She lived with her parents for several years and then alone with her mother for several more years. In 2006, she moved to southern Florida and lived with each sister.

In 2011 she returned to Biddeford and lived at Southridge Assisted Living Center. She attended Truslow (now Sam Cohen) adult programs from 1994 to 2005 and from 2011 to 2018. She truly enjoyed those days with many friends doing some of her favorite things- playing bingo, dancing, listening to live music, gardening and crafts.

She also enjoyed following the Red Sox. Marnie was predeceased by her parents, and two nephews, Harold Cote Jr. and Peter Michael Underwood. She is survived by sister Carol and husband Harold Cote of Fort Myers, Florida; sister Margaret and husband Robert Underwood Sr. of Cape Canaveral, Florida; niece Elizabeth (Underwood) Labonte and husband Michael Labonte Sr. of Cocoa Beach, Florida; nephew Robert Underwood Jr. and wife Kathy of Stratham, New Hampshire; niece Nancy Underwood of Arundel, Maine.

She was also blessed with two grand- nephews Michael Peter Underwood and Michael David Labonte. As well as, four grand- nieces, Samantha Underwood, Sarah Labonte, Cecelia and Charlotte Underwood. Visiting hours will be held on Monday October 8 from 9:00 to 10:30am at Hope Memorial Chapel, 480 Elm St., Biddeford, Maine.

A funeral mass will follow at 11 am at St. Ann’s Chapel, located at St. Joseph’s Church in Biddeford, Maine. Burial will be in St. Mary’s Cemetery in Biddeford. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in her memory to Sam Cohen’s Adult Center, Barra Rd.
