Marjorie Ann’s Obituary Marjorie Ann Riddle Smith, 88, died March 28, 2019, at Bruce Community Living Center in Bruce, Mississippi. Services will be at Parker Memorial Funeral Home in Bruce, Mississippi on Sunday, March 31, 2019 at 2:00 P.M. Visitation will be from 12:00 P.M. until service time on Sunday. Burial will be at the Bruce Cemetery.

Bro. Darrell Logan will officiate assisted by Bro. Robert Earl Alexander and Lee Hubbard to deliver eulogy.

Serving as pallbearers will be Danny Baker, Dennis Baker, Edwin Baker, Randy Baker, Ted Camp, Thomas A. Camp, Danny Kelly and Gary Ledbetter. Ann was born in Prescott, Arkansas, the only child of Herman Ord Riddle, originally from Abingdon, Virginia, and Edith Marie Erwin Riddle of Hope, Arkansas. She was one of the first residents of Bruce and enjoyed sharing her childhood memories of growing up there.

She graduated from Bruce High School in May, 1948, and married Thomas Gale Smith of Banner, Mississippi in June of 1948. She was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas, and her son, Tommy Smith. After working for Glenn Slacks Garment Company, Ann was employed for many years at Borg-Warner in Water Valley, Mississippi, retiring in 2005.

She grew up attending Bruce First United Methodist Church and later became a member of Banner Baptist Church. She is survived by her children Susie Kopf and her husband, Jim, of Ridgeland, Mississippi; George Smith and his wife, Jo Ann, of Counce, Tennessee; and John Smith and his wife, Nancy, of Vicksburg, Mississippi. Also surviving are three grandchildren: Loren Kopf Beason and her husband, Clay of Searcy, Arkansas; Leah Smith Patterson and her husband, Justin, of Sumrall, Mississippi; and Beth Smith Walker and her husband, Logan of Saltillo, Mississippi; also great-granddaughters, Ann-Clayton Beason, Addi Kate, Swayze and Ainsley Patterson and Annady Rylan, and Reagan Walker.

The family wishes to thank the staff and employees of Bruce Community Living Center for their loving compassion and care. She loved and appreciated each of you. Funeral services entrusted to Parker Memorial Funeral Homes.
