Marjorie L. Deth, 89, died in Lyndonville, VT on November 8, 2018 under the loving care of Susie Greaves. Marjorie was born in Cambridge, VT on November 1, 1929 the sixth child of Rupert R. Deth, born in Fletcher, VT and Rilla (Cross) Deth, born in Fairfax, VT. Marjorie’s family moved from Morrisville, VT to Burke, VT on her fourth birthday, Nov.

1, 1933 to the John Flyer farm where they farmed until 1946. Then the family moved ½ mile over the hill to the Arthur Coe farm. At the time of her father’s death in 1957, her brother Wallace took over the farm and he and Marge ran the farm together for 40 years.

Marge was proud of being a great, great, great, great Aunt after the birth of a nephew in Merrimac, Ma. She had many nieces and nephews and said she “loved them all”. She spoke about being blessed with good neighbors and lots of friends over the years.

“They were always there at any time of need”. she said. For years Marge was a member of Country Corner Squares in Lyndon Corner.

She would always acknowledge family and friends thru happy times or occasions as well as sad times with a card or a phone call. Marjorie’s ashes will be spread on the Deth farm with her brother Wallace. She said, “I am staying on the farm I love”.

She is survived by a brother, Reginald Deth and his wife Gloria of East Burke; sister-in-law, Patricia Deth of Morrisville, VT and many many nieces and nephews. Marge was predeceased by two brothers, Kenneth and Francis Deth; three sisters, Catherine Sanderson, Evelyn Greenwood and Carolyn McFarland; brother-in-laws, Raymond Sanderson and Richard McFarland; sister-in-law, Elaine Deth. At Marjorie’s request, there will be no visiting hours or service.
