Marjory Ann Broughton Gregson, age 96 died at her home in Deep River on December 18, 2018. She was born on December 8, 1922 in Worcester, Massachusetts to the late Joseph and Ruth Broughton. She was the wife of the late John Robert Gregson Sr

Mrs. Gregson retired from Eaton Corporation in 1985. She then became a CAN where she worked until she was 75 years old. Mrs. Gregson was preceded in death by a grandson, Paul Gregson; her daughter, Janet Gregson Cashwell; her step-son, John Robert… Read More » Gregson Jr.; step-daughter, Joan Gregson Holmgrem; a daughter-in-law, Marion Faye Gregson; one son-in-law, Gene Patterson; 5 brothers and 1 sister also preceded her in death.

She is survived by one brother, David Broughton of Pensacola, Florida; sons, William (Bill) Stuart Gregson of Sanford and Douglas Paul Gregson of Butner, NC; son-in-law, Jimmy Cashwell of Sanford; daughters; Beverly Gregson Patterson of Sanford and Bonnie Gregson Bridges and husband Jerry of Shallotte, NC; one step-daughter, Gene Gregson Ambach of Massachusetts; one step-son and his wife, Albert and Joni Gregson of California. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren and 17 great- great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Sunday, December 23, 2018 at 2 p.m. at Miller-Boles Funeral Home with Sister Pearl Castleberry officiating.

The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Lee Memory Gardens. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lee County Enrichment Center, 1615 S. 3rd St., Sanford, NC 27330.

Services are entrusted to Miller-Boles Funeral Home of Sanford.
