Mark’s Obituary William Mark Maxwell, age 65, of Pine Bluff, died on January 27, 2019. Born May 1, 1953 in Lake Village, he was a son of the late Harold Ray “Bo” Maxwell and Bonnye Jean Paul Maxwell. He graduated from McGehee High School and the University of Arkansas at Fayetteville with a BS in Business Administration, where he pledged Sigma Chi Fraternity.

His entire career was devoted to agricultural banking. He worked many years for National Bank of Commerce, Worthen, Boatman’s, Nationsbank, and Bank of America, the entire time occupying the same desk. He moved across the street and finished his career with Simmons Bank.

Mark served as an elder at First Presbyterian Church, was a board member for both the Vera Lloyd Children’s Home in Monticello and the Presbyterian Foundation. He is survived by his wife Jean; daughters Emma Stone (Blake) and Morgan Bennett (Brent); two granddaughters, Maxwell Grace and Madge Monroe Bennett; and a brother Harold Ray “Dusty” Maxwell, Jr. A memorial service will be held Thursday, January 31 at 2:00 p.m. at First Presbyterian Church, with a reception to follow. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 p.m. at Fuller Hale-South Funeral Chapel.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Vera Lloyd Presbyterian Family Services, 1501 N. University, Suite 345, Little Rock, AR 72207; or the Boys and Girls Club of McGehee, 205 Washington Avenue, McGehee, AR 71654.
