Mark W. Decker, 57, of Owensboro went to be with God on Saturday, November 10, 2018 at Owensboro Health Regional Hospital. He was born in Daviess County on August 30, 1961 to the late Paul Decker and Janice Adams Gafford, who survives. Mark was someone who enjoyed a carefree lifestyle and could often be found in any of his happy places whether he was outdoors, hiking, playing with animals, or sharing his passion for art with others.

Mark was the person you were drawn to in a crowded room because he was the one who made everyone feel better and special. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by his step-father, Barney Marshall Gafford. Survivors include his mother, Janice Gafford; his children, Brandon Decker and his wife, Amanda, Graham Decker and his fiancé, Bonnie McCallister, and Brooklynd Decker and her fiancé, Jordan Render; grandchildren, Maddie Decker, Mason Barnes, Gatlin Decker, Colyn Decker, Maddie Rice, Whitnee Rice, Carolina, and Elizabeth; and siblings, Paul Allen Decker, Kristen Baker, and Andrea Cecil; and the mothers of his children, Sharon Ford and Susan Taul.

A time of sharing by family and friends will be at 6:00pm on Monday, November 12, 2018 at James H. Davis Funeral Home & Crematory. Visitation will be on Monday from 1:00pm until 6:00pm at the funeral home.
