Marlin L. “Lee” Parrett July 30, 1935 – September 27, 2018 Marlin L. “Lee” Parrett, 83, Michigan City, Indiana, passed away Thursday, September 27, 2018 at 8:49 pm in Franciscan Health – Michigan City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am, Friday, October 5, 2018 at Lamb’s Chapel United Methodist Church, 6006 N. Fail Road, LaPorte, IN with Pastor Jay Loucks officiating. Private burial will take place in Greenwood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 10:00 am – 11:00 am, Friday at Lamb’s Chapel United Methodist Church. The Ott/Haverstock Funeral Chapel, Michigan City, IN is handling arrangements. He was born July 30, 1935 in Michigan City, Indiana to the late Leland and Murtie (Carter) Parrett.

Surviving are three daughters, Marla (Ted) Leonas of Homer Glen, IL, Cheryl Williams of Michigan City, IN and Rebecca (Kurt Ludington) Tyler of Valparaiso, IN; son, Rick (Tonya) Parrett of Laporte, IN; 24 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; brother, David “John” Parrett of LaPorte, IN; and his friend, Ruth Williams of Michigan City, IN. He was also preceded in death by his son, Thomas Parrett; and two sisters, Mildred Peterson and Suzanne Krachinski. Lee retired as a mechanic from the Operating Engineers Local 150.

He enjoyed tinkering in his garage, flying planes and racing stock cars. Contributions may be made to Ronald McDonald House of Indiana, 435 Limestone, Indianapolis, IN 46202 or to Riley Children’s Hospital, 30 S. Meridian St., Indianapolis, IN 46204.
