Martha Frances Bridges McLendon, 89, of The Villages, Florida, formerly of Dawson, passed away at Freedom Pointe at the Villages Rehabilitation and Healthcare Center on November 14, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018 at the graveside in New Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery. A visitation will be held at Harvey Funeral Home on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Mrs. McLendon was born in Dawson, Georgia on February 22, 1929.

She and her husband enjoyed working together and traveling together. She was of the Baptist faith and enjoyed artwork and writing. Mrs. McLendon had a great sense of humor and lived her life with dignity.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Jeptha Bridges and Nettie Eudora Lay Bridges and her husband of more than fifty years, Morris McLendon. She is survived by her son, Larry McLendon (Shirley) of Summerfield, Florida and a sister, Mrs. Josie Fletcher (Richard) of Dawson. Memorials may be made in Mrs. McLendon’s memory to Love In the Name of Christ (Love INC) or to your local hospice organization.
