Marthe Kay Barker October 07, 1955 – December 26, 2018 Share this obituary Sign Guestbook| Send Private Condolences Marthe Kay Blevins Barker, 63, Elizabethton, passed away Wednesday, December 26, 2018 in the Hermitage Health Center. Born October 7, 1955 in Cleveland, Ohio and raised by her special mother, Sarah Jane Barker. She had lived most of her life in Carter County.

Marthe was a graduate of Elizabethton High School. She formerly worked as a CNA at Hermitage Health Center; her last employment was at The Barn Shop. She was a member of North Side Baptist Church.

She loved her grandchildren, her work and making new friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Blevins. Survivors include Three Children: Matthew Hammett, Sara Glover & husband Travis and Robert Scott Hammett.

Seven Grandchildren: Ethan Hammett, Sarah Hammett, Jazmine Hammett, Hunter Hammett, Dakota Miller, Drew Glover and Thomas Woods. One Great Grandson: Keane Woods. Her Brother: Dallas Barker & wife Alice.

Two Uncles: Lewis Blevins & wife Jenny, and Dallas Blevins. A Memorial Service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Saturday, January 5, 2019 in the North Side Baptist Church with the Rev. Mike Dickenson officiating.

The family will receive friends from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at the North Side Baptist Church. The family would like to express a special “Thank You” to the staff of Hermitage Health Center for all the love and care she received. Condolences may be sent to the family at our web-site www.
