Martin Blackmon, age 60, of Dallas, GA, passed away on June 16, 2018. He was born on July 8, 1957, in Cartersville, GA, to the late Clarence & Ora Blackmon, and was preceded in death by his brothers, Roy Blackmon, Benny Blackmon, Mack Blackmon, and Jerry Blackmon; sister, Carla Newman; and brother-in-law, Charles Mercer. Martin was a “Man with a Plan”, loving and compassionate husband, and loved his country and was a true Patriot.

He was a member of Westridge Church and was a renaissance man of many talents from cabinet making, real estate to on-line trading. Survivors include his wife of 39 years, Penny Blackmon of Dallas, GA; son, Eric Blackmon & Rose Mauldin of Dallas, GA; brothers, Ray Raab, and Phillip & Nancy Blackman; sister, Patricia Mercer, Linda & Kyle Miller, and Faye Fortenberry; lifelong friends, Jerald McLeod, Jesse McLeod, Jeff Miller, Mike Studstill and Jim Rice; many nieces and nephews. Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 22, 2018, at 11 AM, from Clark Funeral Home with Jeff Miller officiating.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, June 21, 2018, from 5 PM until 8 PM. Clark Funeral Home in Hiram, GA, is in charge of the arrangements.
