Suzie was born on September 12, 1943 in Rochester, NY to the late Dr. Thomas Henry and Valeria Helene Dennis. She was an Opera Singer and concert Pianist in her early years.

She started playing at the age of 5 and soon realized the profound transcendence and catharsis that music could bring. She graced the stage with a dynamic presence and a gift only God could have bestowed upon her. Her voice was full and rich with undertones that reflected the true depth and beauty of her soul.

Sal was her best friend and remained that way for 51 years. Through every victory, every defeat they remained by each other’s side. She was abundantly intelligent, adventurous, generous, compassionate, and had an immense appreciation of fine art, literature, and Classical Music.

She was a private voice and piano teacher for almost 50 years and still played the piano almost every day, often playing one of her favorite compositions, Alla Turca. Suzie also worked as a nurse for many years, primarily at Strong Memorial Hospital of the University of Rochester and Rochester Friendly Home. Recently retired, she spent her days with her loving husband, Sal and “little man”, Charlie the dog.

She was a member of Saint Vincent DePaul Catholic Church and volunteered with the St. Vincent DePaul Society. She is deeply loved and will be tremendously missed, “Until the Stars cease to Shine. ”.
