OBITUARY Martin J. Broderick November 18, 1921 – December 16, 2018 Martin J. Broderick, 97, passed away December 16, 2018. Mass of Christian Burial is 10:00 AM Thursday, December 20th at St. Gabriel Catholic Church where a visitation will be from 6:00 – 8:00 PM Wednesday, rosary at 7:30 PM. Contributions are suggested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital.

Martin was born November 18, 1921 in Youngstown, OH. He was an Army-Air Corp pilot cadet attending flight school in Springfield, MO where he met Ruby Jean Divan at a dance and she soon became his beloved wife of 72 years. Their marriage produced five children.

Before retiring, Martin was a special agent for the U.S. Treasury Department for more than 20 years. Martin was a two-term Grand Knight of the Tri-County Knights of Columbus. He and Jean were founding members of St. Gabriel Catholic Church.

Martin was preceded in death by his wife, Ruby Jean; parents; a granddaughter Katherine Michelle “Katie”; son-in-law Dennis Copeland; and 9 siblings. Survivors include his children, Ronald (Patricia) Broderick, Marty (Mimi) Broderick, Susan Copeland, Patrick (Celeste) Broderick and Lisa Broderick; 11 grandchildren and one great-grandchild; and his sister, Maureen Mylott.
