J.T. TATUM, JR. J.T. Tatum, Jr. was born October 2, 1958 in Kansas City, Missouri to J.T. Tatom, Sr. and Jewel Tatom. He was known as “little brother” to his family and friends.

J.T. was preceded in death by his mother Jewel Tatom and father, J.T. Tatom, Sr.; maternal grandparents, wife Deborah Tatom, aunt Lucille Banks; uncle John Tatom; cousin L.T. Tatom and nephew James Johnson Sr He was baptized at an early age and became a member of the Greater Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Kansas City.

He attended Central Senior High School in Kansas City, Missouri and was employed at Superior Bowen and retired after twenty-seven years. He enjoyed mushroom hunting, domino’s, fishing, hanging-out with family and friends. J.T. had a good heart.

He would give you the shirt off his back and would brighten-up the room with his smile. He expressed his love greatly and if you said, “I Love You” he said, “I Love You More”. He was united in marriage to Terri Tatom.

Later, He met and married Deborah Tatom who preceded him in death. To this union he was blessed with a son, Deron Tatom along with Deborah’s two sons: Rodney Hall and Jeremy Green. J.T. was united in marriage to Kathryn Tatom.

J.T. Tatom leaves to cherish and celebrate his memories his wife, Kathryn Tatom; Sons Deron Tatom of KCMO, Rodney Hall and Jeremy Green of KCMO; brothers Dellhue Johnson Jr., Muskogge, OK. , James Johnson, KCMO; sisters Mary Reed, Barbara Gordon (Gill) Dorothy James Barnes of KCMO; grandchildren Rashad Morrow, Deron Tatom Jr., Kahro Tatom, Rodney Hall III, Jeremy Green Jr., Jeremiah Green of KCMO. Special friend Toni Miller, nieces, nephews, cousins and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral Services for J.T. Tatum will be at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 15, 2018 at Lawrence A. Jones Linwood Chapel. Visitation 9:00 A.M. Interment Forest Hill Cemetery.
