Borden, Indiana Martin Jackson Barrett, 85, passed away on Wednesday, July 25, 2018 at Baptist Health Floyd in New Albany, Indiana. He was born on June 15, 1933 to Gilbert and Gracie Barrett (Daughety) in Livermore, Kentucky. Martin served his country in the United States Air Force and went on to be a cabinet maker at Kitchen Kompact.

He also attended the Hamburg Church of Christ. Martin was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and a brother. Martin is survived by his wife, Peggy D. Barrett, Borden, a son, Derrick Barrett, Sellersburg, Indiana, daughters, Gilda Hattabaugh, and Sheila Jackson, both of Pekin, Indiana, a brother, James Barrett, and a sister, Mary Hamilton, both of Kentucky, seven grandchildren, and 8 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Saturday July 28, 2018 at the Garr Funeral Home in Sellersburg with burial to follow at Walnut Hill Cemetery in Borden. Visitation will be Saturday from 10 a.m. to the time of service at the funeral home. Online condolences may be expressed at www.
