Marva Yvonne Cole was born in Kansas City, Mo. January 21, 1941 to Marion and Alberta (Jones) Tate. She was the middle child of three children.

Marva and her family eventually moved to McAlester, Oklahoma where she graduated from Louverture High School class of 1959. After high school she moved to Arizona where she met her husband Medford Cole Sr. to that union a son Medford Cole Jr (Coley) was born. They moved to Kansas City Kansas where Marva worked for Paramlee Plastics for many years until her retirement.

Marva accepted Christ early in her life and attended church until her health started to fail. She will be remembered for her love of cooking and sewing and her beautiful smile. Marva was preceded in death by her father (Marion) mother (Alberta), sister (Marion), brother (Richard), Husband (Medford), son (Coley) and step-son (Ervin).

She leaves behind her grandchildren Trease Stewart and Audreaya Yvonne Cole-Jones (John) of Texas and Medford Lewis Cole III of Texas, and stepdaughter Edwinna Shackall (Bob) Arizona. She also leaves behind great grandchildren and a host of family and friends. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Saturday, March 9, 2019 at the Lawrence A. Jones Kansas Funeral Home located at 2065 North 5th Street KCK 66101.

Visitation 9:00 A.M. Interment will be held at 9:00 A.M. Monday, March 11, 2019 in Leavenworth National Cemetery.
