Marvel’s Obituary Marvel “Mac” C. McWilliams, age 88, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, January 29, 2019 at Westminster Village in Dover, DE. Mac was born in Blades, DE on December 4, 1930 to the late Joseph and May (Henry) McWilliams and lived in Newark before retiring to Dagsboro. He received his Associate Degree from the University of Delaware, where he played football.

Mac proudly served his country in the Delaware National Guard retiring after 25 years of service as a Lieutenant Colonel in the Signal Corps. He also worked for Diamond State Telephone Company which became Bell Telephone as a planning engineer retiring after 30 years of service. He was an avid fisherman winning several accolades and a member of the Telephone Pioneers.

Mac’s true love was time spent with his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Janice “Jan” (Friedel) McWilliams in 2016. Mac is survived by his three children, Dana C. McWilliams (Lisa), Dawn M. Loch (Bill) and Debra A. Kircher (Paul).

He was also a loving grandfather to Brett M. McWilliams (Amy), Matt M. Kircher (Sequoia), Tucker R. Kircher and his fiancée, Brittany Whetzel and Joseph C. Loch as well as a great grandfather to Liam and Harvey McWilliams and Greyson and Juniper Kircher. Mac is also survived by a brother, Charles McWilliams (Shirley). Family and friends are invited to come, celebrate Mac’s life and share memories on Friday, February 8, 2019, between 10 AM and 12 noon at the Ocean View Chapel of Melson Funeral Services, 38040 Muddy Neck Rd.
