Marvin’s Obituary Marvin Dale Large, 82, of Erie, Illinois, died Sunday, February 3, 2019 at the Morrison Community Hospital, Morrison. Services will be private. Memorials may be made to Prophets Riverview – The Good Samaritan Society.

Marvin was born July 18, 1936 in Springfield, Illinois, the son of Harold and Florence (Dodd) Large. He graduated from Auburn High School. He married Carol Matheny in August 1958 in Auburn, Illinois.

Marvin worked at the former Case Tenneco plant for 33 years, retiring in 1991. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, being outdoors and watching westerns. He loved family get-togethers and hugs from his grandchildren.

He was musically inclined, able to play any musical instrument by ear. He was a proud member of Local 1304. Surviving are his wife, Carol, Erie; children, Bob (Ruby) Large, Erie, Sherry Zickert, Silvis, Patricia Kennedy, Arlington Heights, IL, Brian (Toshia) Large, Erie; 12 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. Share a memory or condolence at www.
