Obituary for Mary A. Knight Mary Knight, age 80, of Madison Heights, long time resident of Royal Oak, passed away August 31, 2018. Mary was born in Detroit, MI, where she later graduated from St. Anthony High School. She was retired from Comerica Bank.
Mary loved to socialize and particularly enjoyed spending time with her family. She was a very caring and generous person who possessed a strong Catholic faith. Mary outwardly displayed her love and appreciation for others with thoughtful gestures.
Gift-giving was her favorite way of expressing her feelings. She selflessly put the needs of others before her own and was truly a beacon of light to all who knew her kind heart. Mary will be dearly missed by her family and friends.
Mary was the loving wife of the late Joseph Knight. Dear mother to Joseph (Rhonda) Knight, Mary Jo (Edward) Jacobs, Theresa (Todd) Sidebottom, Donna Knight, and Margaret (Richard) Pond. Loving grandmother to Jennifer (Shawn) Locke, Mary Frances Jacobs, Lynn Marie (Kenneth) Carrier, Burie Miller, Mandy Pond, Michael Pond, and Koren Knight.
Beloved grandmother to six great-grandchildren: Carlie, Joseph, Tristan, Wyatt, Lillie, and Eva. Mary was also survived by her sister, Peggy Anderson, and many nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place Tuesday, September 4, from 2:00 – 9:00 p.m., with a Rosary service at 7:00 p.m., at Wm.
Sullivan and Son Funeral Home, 705 W. Eleven Mile Rd. , in Royal Oak. Funeral service will take place Wednesday, September 5, at 10:00 a.m. (9:30 in-state) at St. Mary Catholic Church, 730 S. Lafayette Ave.
