Mary Alene Wallace, 76, of Carthage, IL formerly of Plymouth, IL died at 12:28 pm Thursday November 15, 2018 at Blessing Hospital in Quincy, IL. She was born on July 16, 1942 in Huntsville, IL to Dean and Orma Elliott Switzer. Mary attended Huntsville School.

She was a custodian at the Plymouth school for many years. She loved her dog, Wrigley. She is survived by a son, Jerry (Julie) Wallace of Louisville, KY, a daughter, Shelly Wallace of Myrtle Beach, SC, 4 grandchildren, Sebastion, Allie, Tori and Makila, a brother, Howard and his wife Carol of Tennessee, IL, 2 sisters, Frances of Orlando, FL and Doris of Macomb, IL.

and her beloved best friend, Ruthanne Danielson and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael Beadles and a brother Edward Switzer and his wife Mary Lou. Cremation has been accorded.

A private burial will be held later at Huntsville cemetery. The Hamilton Funeral Home in Augusta, IL is handling arrangements.
