Obituary for Mary Luke (Wilmes) Mary A. Luke November 1, 1937-July 18, 2018 Mary A. Luke, 80, Maryville, Missouri, died July 18, 2018, at Village Care Center. Mary was born November 1, 1937 to William Henry and Laura Louise (Thompson) Wilmes. On June 12, 1956 she married Alvin L. Luke in Maryville.

Mary worked in the office of Maryville High School and then spent many years working with her husband as a bookkeeper and secretary for Alvin Luke Construction. She was a member of St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church and served on the Church Council when the new gymnasium was built. She was a member of the Senior Bowling Association and Mozingo Golf Club Association and volunteered at St. Gregory’s Council and Finance Committees.

Preceding Mary in death were her brothers Bill and Jim Wilmes and sisters JoAnn Archer, Mercedes Spire and Mary Ann Wilmes. Surviving Mary is her husband, Alvin of the home in Maryville, son Paul (Marcia) Luke, Platte City, MO and daughter Linda (Phil) Seipel, Ravenwood, MO; 4 grandchildren, Jared (Erica) Luke, Adriane (Travis) Wymore, Melanie (Aaron) Weibel, Renae Seipel and several great-grandchildren; 4 sisters Genny Jermain, Burlington Jct. , MO, Dorothy Schmitz, Parnell, MO, Pat (John) Schieber and Laura Luke, Maryville and brother Fred (Darla) Wilmes, Platte City.

Visitation will be Sunday, July 22nd from 1:00-3:00pm at St. Gregory Barbarigo Catholic Church, Maryville. Memorial Services will be 10:00am Monday, also at the Church, with burial to follow in St. Mary’s Cemetery, Maryville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be givien to Village Care Center, SSM Hospice, or your favorite charity.
