Mary “Barb” Gilbank, 91, of Bellevue, NE, and formerly of Beloit, WI, died Thursday, January 17, 2019 in her daughter’s home. She was born May 5, 1927 in Beloit, WI, the daughter of Charles and Irma (Ridgley) Barrand. Barb was a graduate of Beloit High School and attended the University of Wisconsin Platteville.

She married Charles A. Gilbank on June 25, 1949 in Beloit, WI. He predeceased her on June 25, 1988. Barb was formerly employed by Oaks Industry in Elkhorn, WI, retiring in 1979.

After retiring she worked at Wal-Mart in Monroe, WI. Survivors include her children, Kathy Pfisterer of Roscoe, IL, Peggy (Jessie) Chancey of Bellevue, NE, and Becky (Randy) Blohm of Fairfield, TN; grandchildren, Kirk Pfisterer, Kelly (Travis) Dutcher, Tanya (Dan) Wilson, Kandy Pfisterer, Tina (Dave) Krugler, Jessye (Martin) Higginbotham, Kristina (Dan) Mowers, Jamie Chancey, Jessie (Emily) Chancey III; 23 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Ray (Dolores) Barrand. She was predeceased by her husband, parents and brother, Chuck Barrand.

Funeral service for Barb will be at 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, February 6, 2019 in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery, Albany, WI. Visitation of remembrance will be from 1:00 p.m. until the time of service Wednesday in the funeral home.
