Karen R. McConnell, 73, of Beloit, WI, died Thursday, January 17, 2019 in her home. She was born June 21, 1945 in Chippewa Falls, WI, the daughter of John F. and Helen R. (Johnson) McConnell. Karen was a 1964 graduate of Beloit Catholic High School.

Karen was employed by Electrol Specialties for 44 year, retiring in 2012. She enjoyed doing cross word puzzles, watching game shows, crocheting, fishing and cooking. Karen was a volunteer for St. Vincent De Paul and Beloit Memorial Hospital.

She was a member of St. Jude Catholic Church. Survivors include her sisters, Nancy Hale, Kathy Wilson, Charlene McConnell, Judy (Kim) Hansberry, Cheryl (Albert) Kitzman, and Joanne Pratesi; brother, John Scott McConnell; nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her parents, brothers, Stephen and James McConnell, nephew, Dante Pratesi, and niece, Trista Hansberry.

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Karen will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, January 24, 2019 in St. Jude Catholic Church, 737 Hackett Street, Beloit, WI. Inurnment will be in Mt. Thabor Cemetery.

Visitation of remembrance will be from 12:15 p.m. until 1:15 p.m. Thursday in the church. Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI, assisted the family with arrangements. A memorial will be established in her name at a later date.
