Connie Jo Smith, 62, of Harvard IL and formerly of Clinton WI, passed away after a short illness on Sunday February 24, 2019 surrounded by her family at OSF St. Anthony Hospital, Rockford IL. She was born on August 3, 1956 in Beloit WI. Connie attended Clinton High School, Clinton WI.

Connie married the love of her life Dale on March 3, 1979 at The Church By The Side Of The Road, Rockton IL. Connie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed traveling, riding her horse King, mowing the lawn, planting flowers, driving her mustang, and riding motorcycles with Dale.

Connie loved spending time with her daughters and grandchildren. Survivors include her husband, Dale Smith of Harvard, IL; two daughters, Crystal (Brace) Weeks and Ashley (Wes) Firlick; grandchildren, Brookelynn and Katelynn Weeks, Conner, Olivia, and Avery Firlick; two sisters, Jerilyn (Joe) Schmoldt and Melody Johnson; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother Jane (Bob) Woolever, father Bill Johnson, and bother Robert Johnson.

A visitation of remembrance will be held from 4pm-6pm Friday, March 1, 2019 in the Daley Murphy Wisch and Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Rd, Beloit WI. A celebration of Connie’s life will directly follow the visitation at the Farmer’s Inn, 15 Wisconsin St, Darien, WI.
