Betty J. Gasser, 84, of Beloit, WI, died Wednesday, January 16, 2019 at Pioneer Court. She was born August 25, 1934 in South Beloit, IL, the daughter of LaBaron and Pearl (Burger) Petitt. Betty was a graduate of South Beloit High School, South Beloit, IL.

She married Thomas M. Gasser on August 20, 1960 in Rockford, IL. He predeceased her on January 13, 2004. Betty was formerly employed by Warner Electric, retiring in 1996.

She was a member of the Quarter Century Club, Order of the Eastern Star Phoenix Chapter #215 and St. Jude Catholic Church. Betty enjoyed camping, crafts, needle work, and knitting dozens of hats and mittens which she donated to Hackett School children. Survivors include her daughter, Sheri (Jeffrey) Gehrke of McFarland, WI; son, Joseph Gasser of Milton, WI; granddaughters, Marissa and Elise Gehrke; brother, Richard (Colleen) Petitt of Beloit, WI; sister-in-law, Alice Petitt of Napa, CA; niece and nephews, Penny, Richard and Shawn.

She was predeceased by her parents, brothers and sisters-in-law, Donald Petitt, James (Margaret) Petitt, and Charles (Linda) Petitt, and nephew, Justin Petitt. Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for Betty will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 21, 2019 in St. Jude Catholic Church, 737 Hackett Street, Beloit, WI. Visitation of remembrance will be from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday in the Daley Murphy Wisch & Associates Funeral Home and Crematorium, 2355 Cranston Road, Beloit, WI.

Visitation will also be from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. Monday in the church.
