Mary M. Schmich Mary M. Schmich, age 101, passed away peacefully at the Sunset House on October 17, 2018. She was born to Frank and Herma Bernath in Hicksville, Ohio on May 25, 1917. In her younger years Mary was an avid card player, winning several Bridge tournaments.

Mary lived the last few weeks at the Sunset House in Toledo. The family would like to acknowledge the wonderful staffs at Sunset House, Friends of the Family, and Heartland and Ashanti Hospices for the loving care they had given her. Mary was preceded in death by her husband Richard (Dick) J. Schmich and her grandson Brodie Schmich.

Surviving are her children, John (Debbie) Schmich, Marcy (Terri Sachnik) Schmich, Sandra (Tim) Mennitt, Frank (Barb) Schmich and Blane (Susi) Schmich; grandchildren, Tim (Emily) Mennitt, Army Officer CW4 Brandon Schmich, Lindsay (Tim) Villa, Allison (Brad) Schrecongost, Paul Schmich, Angela (Larry) King, Blane Schmich, Jr., Brenton (Krystal) Schmich, Kylee Schmich and Mandy Schmich; great-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Camdin and Jackson Schmich, Kendall, Tristan, Nolan and Ellerie King, Jillian, Lola and Laila Villa, Norah and Dane Mennitt, Austin Schmich, and Zoey Schrecongost. Private services will be held for the family. Interment Resurrection Cemetery.
