VICTORIA – Mrs. Mary Delgado Salazar, 91, of Victoria, formerly of Beeville, died on May 7, 2018. She was born on Nov. 9, 1926 in the Clareville Community to the late Genaro and Nicolosa (Alvarez) Delgado.

She married Baldomero Salazar on July 22, 1949 in Beeville, Tx. She was the retired owner and operator of Charm Beauty Salon in Beeville for many years. She is preceded in death by her husband; five sisters, Aurora Delgado, Susie D. Molina, Amanda Gonzales, Sarah Gonzales and Esther Delgado; two brothers, Genaro Gonzales, Jr and Gonzalo Delgado; three nephews and two nieces.

She is survived by one son, Eloy D. (Patricia) Salazar of Beeville, Tx; two daughters, Rosalinda Salazar of Corpus Christi, Tx and Palmira (Michael) Cantu of Victoria, Tx; one sister, Elvira Reyes of Lansing, Michigan. She is also survived by 9 grandchildren, 24 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Visitation will be held from 3-9pm on Friday, May 11, at Oak Park Memorial Funeral Chapel.

A rosary will be recited at 7pm. The body of Mrs. Salazar will lie in state at 9:30am on Saturday, May 12, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. A funeral mass will be celebrated at 10:30am with Fr.

Richard Gonzales officiating. Interment will follow at Beeville Memorial Park. Serving as pallbearers are John Vela, Christopher Castillo, Caleb Nemes, Isaac Nemes, Eloy Baldemar Salazar and Adrian Ybarra.
