Obituary for Mary Dodd Snow CHATHAM, Mary Dodd Snow, age 100, formerly of Dry Fork, went home to be with the Lord on February 1, 2018 at SOVAH Health Danville. She had resided at Chatham Health and Rehab for the last two years. She was born on September 18, 1917, in Campbell County, the daughter of the late Robert Brace Dodd and the late Willie Barley Dodd.
She was married to the late Cloy C. Snow. Mrs. Snow was a homemaker and a member of Crosspoint Church. She is survived by two daughters, Beth S. (Dale) Shields of Dry Fork and Carolyn S. (Bobby) Shields of Richmond; three grandchildren, Robin Shields of Dry Fork, Randy Shields of Greensboro, NC, and Kim Shields (Tom) Carswell of Richmond; two great-grandchildren, Mark Morris of Richmond and Nikki Morris (Jeff) Brickhouse of Richmond; and one great-great-grandchild, Luke Brickhouse.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandchild, David Shields; a great-grandchild, Josh Morris; one sister, Lillian D. Oakes; and brothers, Robert Dodd, Charles W. Dodd, and Earnest Dodd. Many thanks to all the staff at Chatham Health and Rehab who loved her and took care of her. Funeral services will be conducted at Scott Funeral Home on Saturday February 3, 2018 at 2:00 pm with Rev.
Dan East officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at 1340 Pleasant Gap Dr. Dry Fork, VA.
