Mary Ellen Orme, 90, Overland Park, KS, passed away December 20, 2018, at home. A visitation will be held from 12:30-1:30 PM, service 1:30 PM, on Saturday, December 22, at First Baptist Church of Overland Park, 8200 W 96th St, Overland Park, KS 66212. Mary was born November 15, 1928 in Hickory County, MO.

She was married to her husband, Roy, for 61 years. She was a faithful member of First Baptist Church of Overland Park where she served on several committees and several offices. Mary was recognized on multiple occasions for efforts in supplying sewn items for various charitable organizations.

She was also known as the “Game Queen” in the Oakshire Subdivision with her favorite game being dominoes. She attended flexercise class faithfully and enjoyed going to dinner with her exercise classmates. Mary also loved spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roy; parents, August and Ethel Anderson; brother, Clarence Anderson; and son-in-law, Douglas Greenwood. Mary is survived by her brother, Morris Anderson of Lane, KS; children, Lynette Orme, Kathie Van Kuiken, Lorie Elmore (Dave) of Overland Park, Leslie Greenwood of Wichita, Robert (Kristie) of Lenexa; 12 grandchildren; and 7 great-grandchildren. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to First Baptist Church of Overland Park, 8200 W 96th St, Overland Park, KS 66212.
