OBITUARY Mary Ellen Self November 24, 1942 – September 26, 2018 Mary Ellen Self, age 75, of Hixson, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, September 26, 2018. She was born in Townsend, Tennessee to the late Paul and Mary Bryant. Mary was a member of The Galilean Church in Middle Valley.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 51 years, Rex Self and a son, Jimmy Self. Mary is survived by her sons, Marvin (Kay) Self and Kevin Self; grandchildren, Richard and Josh Self, Amanda (Phillip) Anderson, Matthew (Tabitha) Glab and David (Ivy) Glab; seven great grandchildren; brother, Allen (Cathy) Bryant; several nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends from 2 to 5 pm on Sunday, September 30, at the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

A memorial service for Mary will be announced later. Arrangements are by the North Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home, Crematory and Florist, 5401 Highway 153, Hixson, TN 37343.
