Mary Evelyn Carroll, 96, widow of Richard P. Carroll, died Wednesday, June 27, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. Born in Spartanburg, she was the daughter of the late Thomas H. Clayton and the late Odelia Wilfing. Mary was a member of St. Paul Roman Catholic Church and she worked for many years at Beaumont Mills.

She is survived by her daughter Nancy Owens and her husband Wayne of Spartanburg; a son, Michael Carroll and his wife Sandy of Arkansas; a sister, Gladys Mills of Spartanburg. 2 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren and 6 great-great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Mary Odelia Carroll.
