Obituary for Mary Frances Crockett Mary Frances (Baumgartner) Crockett , of Longview Texas went home to glory surrounded by family on January 5, 2019. Her funeral services will be held at Griffin-Roughton funeral home in Corsicana, Texas on January 9, 2019. Visitation will be at 1:00 pm with services to follow at 2:00.

She was born March 9, 1925 in Corsicana, Texas to father Walter Clarence Baumgartner and Mother Jessie Tyra (Horton) Baumgartner. She was preceded in death by husband David Ray Crockett, her parents and her brothers, Lester Baumgartner, Charlie Baumgartner and Joe Baumgartner. She is survived by her daughter Mary Robinson and husband James of Kilgore Texas , her son James Crockett of Kerrville Texas, a son, Walter Crockett and wife Susan of Gilmer Texas and daughter Tammy Bryant and husband Mike of Streetman, Texas.

Her brothers, Donnie Baumgartner of Barry, Texas and Tommy Baumgartner of Corsicana , Texas. She had 9 grandchildren, Mathew Crockett, Aaron Bryant, David Bryant, Carl Crockett, Bruce Crockett, Michelle Terry, Angie Cross, Kathy Adams, Becky Braman. She also had 23 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.

She loved her family, her mother and father, her brothers and certainly her children and grandchildren. She considered it her duty to nurture and care for her husband and children. She was a housewife and was devoted to doing her best to fulfill her duties.

Later in life, she continued to give advice and offer help to her children although they had grandchildren of their own. She considered it her sacred duty to call her “kids” and some of her grandchildren every day to ask, “How is every little thing? ” Granny, we will miss your calls.
