OBITUARY Mary Gearldine Gilmore July 14, 1928 – November 17, 2018 Graveside services for Mary “Jerry” Gearldine Crawford Gilmore of Brownwood, Texas and formerly from Mineola, Texas will be held Monday, November 19, 2018 at 10:30 am at Eastlawn Memorial Park with Richard Hetzel officiating. The family will receive friends from 5-7 pm Sunday at Davis-Morris Funeral Home. Mrs. Gilmore passed away Saturday, November 17, 2018.

Mary was born July 14, 1928 to Hiram Marshall Crawford and M. B. Morgan in Gouldbusk, Texas. A graduate of Coleman High School, she worked as a retail clerk for J. C. Penney’s in Coleman and Gibson’s in Brownwood. On October 17, 1948, she married Joseph Oliver Gilmore, Jr. in Coleman, Texas.

They celebrated 63 years of marriage. She was a member of First United Methodist Church of Mineola, Texas and a charter member of the Lake Brownwood First United Methodist Church. She was active in the United Methodist Women.

Mary was always supportive of her children serving as a sponsor for church and school activities, PTA president and a friend. Her children and grandchildren were the main focus of her life. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Carla and Monty Edwards of Brownwood, and her son and daughter-in-law, Terry and Karen Gilmore of Oak Hill Va.

and her son-in-law, Randall Thompson of Reston, Va. Also surviving are four granddaughters, Tami and Eric Denslinger of Lutz, Fl; Jennifer Edwards of Brownwood; Susan and Christopher Imbembo of Aldie, Va. ; and Cary Gilmore of Oak Hill, Va.

; One grandson, Jeff and Elizabeth Gilmore of Oak Hill, Va. and two great-granddaughters, Megan Denslinger and Morgan Kent and six great-grandsons, Evan Denslinger. ; George, Edward, Robert, and Frederick Gilmore and Anthony Imbembo, One sister Bettie Duus of Rockwood.

Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Gilmore, parents, Hiram and M. B. Crawford, a son, Larry Wayne Gilmore, and two daughters, Carol Marie Thompson and Sherry Lynn Gilmore. The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to a charity of choice.
