Mary “Gwen”‘s Obituary Mary Gwendolyn “Gwen” Mosley Turner, of San Antonio, passed away on January 29, 2019 at the age of 74 years. She was born November 10, 1944 in Abilene, Texas to Frank Mosley and Mary Brown Mosley. Gwen was a graduate of Sharyland High School.

She then received her Bachelor of Science from Mary Hardin Baylor and Master’s in Education from the University of North Texas. Gwen was a teacher and taught at many schools across the state of Texas for over forty years. On August 17, 1968, she married James “Jim” “Butch” Douglas Turner in Mission, Texas.

They were married for forty-three years at the time of his death in 2012. Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Rachel Turner of Alamo Heights; granddaughter, Isabella Turner; brother, Norris (Kitty) Mosley; “sister”-in-law, Marlene Stevenson of San Antonio and brother-in-law, Scott Turner of Tucson, Arizona. Gwen was preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Mary Mosley; husband, Jim Turner; sister, June (Horace) Webb and brother-in-law, Bill Stevenson.

Visitation will be Monday, February 4, 2019 starting at 10:00 a.m. at Medina Valley United Methodist Church, with the Funeral Service at 11:00 a.m. Services will conclude at the church. Memorials may be made in Gwen’s memory to Medina Valley United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice. Arrangements by Tondre-Guinn Funeral Home.
