Mary H. (Bloom) Boatman, 91, of Montoursville, passed away Tuesday evening, December 11, 2018 at Arista Care, Loyalsock. Mary was born in Williamsport to the late Donald and Elmira (Cooper) Bloom on February 18, 1927. Mary, also known as the “Biscuit Lady”, was of Lutheran faith.

As her title would imply, Mary liked to cook. She was lover of animals, especially cats and dogs. Mary would visit the SPCA and give the cats paper balls to play with and visit with the dogs.

She was an avid reader, gardener and liked to go to the movies. She also loved to spend time with her family, drive and go to yard sales. Mary is survived by a son, James D. Boatman (Tina M.) of Montoursville, a very good friend, Bonnie Fenstermacher and four nieces.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband, James C. Boatman, a daughter, Ann L. Walters, and a sister, June Eck. Funeral Services will take place Monday, December 17, 2018 at 6:00 pm at Maneval Allen Redmond Cremation & Funeral Home, 500 W. Fourth Street, Williamsport with Reverend Mark D. Brumbach officiating. Friends and family are welcome to a visitation from 5:00 pm until the time of the service.

Burial will be private for the family at Green Lawn Memorial Park, Montgomery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations in Mary’s name be made to the Lycoming County SPCA, 2805 Reach Rd. Williamsport, PA 17701.
