Mary Jane Yerger Obituary Photo

Obituary for Mary Jane Yerger It pains me to admit at this time, but apparently I passed away on October 7, 2018. Everybody told me it would happen one day, but I simply didn’t want to hear it (as usual), much less experience it. I was born on December 31, 1938, to the late Herman E. and Lillian E. (Sattazahn) Hauck.

I graduated from Cornwall High School with many friends and a few boyfriends. I loved to joke, see people laugh and put out a few hugs and kisses now and then. I retired from Pfizer Pharmaceutical, Lititz, PA, where I worked on the line for 30 years and had a whole lot of fun with my co-workers.

I was also an active member of the trauma team. Traveling to my property in Virginia was a highlight for me. Whether alone or with friends and family, I always looked forward to getting there and relaxing.

I enjoyed motorcycle riding, horseback riding, fishing, going for walks, crafting and baking my giant sugar cakes. Being active in my church was very important to me, but I also enjoyed riding along with my son-in-law in his work truck to job sites and even the dump. He always kept me busy, and I loved him for that.

I have two children: a son, Douglas M. married to Deborah J. Sites, and a daughter, Brenda J. married to Michael R. Adams. I have eight grandchildren and nine great grandchildren (wow). I was preceded in death by my sister Arlene R. Fuhrman, daughter Crystal K. Sites and granddaughter Rinada L. Mohler.

This I will leave with you. Please don’t cry because I am gone; instead be happy I was born and had the pleasure of meeting you. (Or maybe cry a little bit.

After all, I have passed away. ) Just know this, I am happy and probably dancing with family members as you read this. Love you all very much, Mary J. Yerger (otherwise known as Nan).
